When is the best time to book my newborn session? It's advisable to book in advance, to guarantee that your session can take place during baby's first weeks. I usually recommend booking around the time of your 20 week scan. I accept a limited number of bookings per month to ensure flexibility in my availability, in the case of early or late arrivals.

When is the best time to bring my baby into the studio for their newborn session?Where possible, I recommend capturing your newborn within the first 14 days of their arrival. As this is when baby sleeps a lot, they can be easier to pose, enabling me to capture those squishy newborn moments and those beautiful newborn folds and rolls. However, I understand that things can sometimes move a little slower for new families as they adapt to the wonderful parenting journey! If you’d prefer to stay a little longer in your new baby bubble, please get in touch to discuss how I can accommodate babies up to 9 weeks old.
-
What can I do to prepare for my session?Once baby has arrived and your session date has been reconfirmed, I'll share further information to help prepare you for your visit to the studio, and which will really help baby’s session get underway.
-
What should I bring with me?As I provide all the props and fabrics for baby’s session, please bring baby along in clothing which is easily removed without disturbing baby too much. If baby is bottle fed, please bring a minimum of 2 feeds with you, as it is better to have more, than not enough. I can provide hot water in order to warm bottles. Sessions can last 2-4 hours depending on your chosen package, so please feel free to bring refreshments along with you. There are also a number of shops and cafes close to the studio, from which you can purchase snacks and drinks.
-
Why should I book my newborn photoshoot with you?I'm a specialist newborn photographer, safety-trained and specialising in newborn posing and safe working practises. I'm truly passionate about my work and keep my training and knowledge in both photography and newborn safety up-to-date. This means your baby's safety always comes first, and you can expect to experience the highest quality studio session and post-production techniques, whichever package you book.
-
How do I book? You can secure your newborn session right here on the website via the ‘Packages’ tab, using your due date to confirm baby’s session on the system. Once I receive your booking request I'll confirm the details with you. Then I'll ask you to let me know once baby has arrived, so that we can complete a final confirmation of the date and time for you to visit the studio.
-
Do I need to pay upfront? No. I ask for a non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure your booking on the system, with nothing more to pay until the day of baby’s shoot.
-
Can I bring my other children along to the session for pictures?Of course - I always encourage families to take the opportunity for beautiful sibling and family photographs. If you'd like to do this, please choose a package which offers adequate time to capture these additional shots. I'll take sibling shots at the beginning of baby’s session. I then ask for siblings to be collected, to ensure that the studio stays nice and quiet for the remainder of the session, ensuring baby gets all the attention that is needed to create your timeless images.
-
When can I expect to receive my images back?I know you’ll be super eager to receive your little ones images back, so I aim to have your final gallery back to you no longer than 5 weeks from your session date. I will always attempt to take some behind the scenes footage during your session, to share with you as a taster, whilst I prepare and perfect your baby’s final images.
-
What if I want more digital images when I’ve seen my final gallery? That’s no problem at all, you’ll be able to purchase additional digital images should you wish to. When completed, I'll share your final gallery plus details of my product pack. This includes information on additional photo packages, wall art and photo products.
-
Can I print my images?Absolutely, you have the full publishing and printing rights to the number of the images included in your specific package. If there are additional images from your final gallery that you would like to print, you'll need purchase these first, which will then give you the rights to publish and print. Once you own the digital files, you’re able to print as many times as you like. I advise you to print your images using my professional printing lab, as I cannot be held responsible for the low quality and colour loss from high street printing shops. The copyright to all files will remain with me, and I do not grant permission for my work to be altered in anyway. If you'd like to enter your images into any competitions, please obtain my consent before doing so.

Are you insured?Yes, I am fully insured, meaning you can enjoy with confidence every part of your baby’s newborn session.
